The 1.0mm diameter fiber is ideal for street lamps, and smaller sized projects. 

Also the size of optic cable is best suited for N Scale projects.

The The 1.5mm diameter optic cable is best suited for HO Scale and O Scale projects. 

If you wish to change the ambiance and or color of a particular optic fiber, just add a drop of translucent paint to the end of the fiber.

Important:

If placing paint color onto the end of the fiber that is inserted into the Lamplighter, you must ensure the paint has fully dried prior to inserting the optic fiber into the Lamplighter box.

To connect two fibers together, use a Dwarvin connector piece, and connecting fluid sold separately.
