The 1.5mm diameter fiber optic is the desired choice in developing your layout lighting system. The light emitted is 2 1/4 times brighter than the 1.0mm diameter fiber and it typically provides the exact amount of lighting for a structure on the layout utilizing only one fiber. Please note that larger buildings will require more fibers if you wish to, light the entire interior. This scale size is well suited to both HO and O scale structures.

The 1.0mm diameter fiber is most ideal and well suited for streetlamps.

If you wish to change the ambiance and or color of a particular optic fiber, just add a drop of translucent paint to the end of the fiber.

Important:

If placing paint color onto the end of the fiber that is inserted into the Lamplighter, you must ensure the paint has fully dried prior to inserting the optic fiber into the Lamplighter box.

To connect two fibers together, use a Dwarvin connector piece, and connecting fluid sold separately.
