28 of the 1.0mm diameter fibers can be used with one Lamplighter™ 1, and 60 in the Lamplighter™ 2 box.

How many buildings can be lit with the one Lamplighter box?

In HO using 1.5mm diameter fibers you can light up 13 buildings with 1 fiber each using the Lamplighter™ 1 box. with the 26 with the Lamplighter™ 2 box. 

N Scale: 

In N Scale using 1.0mm fibers 28 buildings can be lighted with 1 fiber each using the Lamplighter™ 1 box, and or 60 with the Lamplighter™ 2 box.
