Painting models and figures is one of my favorite hobbies and I’m airbrushing or using spray cans every 2-3 days. . 7 months of winter in my city and super humid summers also means I can’t spray outside. The cheap booth bought online on amazon was better than nothing for acrylic paint but very inefficient for lacquer, enamel or 2k products. My place was smelling like an industrial plant,I became afraid for me and my cats. I decided to invest in a professional booth and I finally choose the best one according to many modelers, and go with the BenchVent. Wow, it is super powerful. I tried it with acrylic, lacquer and 2k : it extracts them right away and absolutely no smell left in the room, not even around the booth. Its also great for dust and particles, something that was very annoying with my old cheap booth. Buying a Benchvent from Strike Force Hobbies was one of my best investment for my favorite hobby, and my health.

Peindre des modèles et des figurines est un de mes passe-temps favoris. Je dois utiliser mon aérographe ou des cannettes de peintures environ une session au 2-3 jours. Puisque c’est l’hiver environ 7 mois par an ou j’habite et que l’été est super humide, aller à l’extérieur n’est pas une option très pratique. Le modèle d’extracteur bas prix sur amazon n’était pas très efficace, en particulier pour la lacque ou les produits de type 2k. Mon condo sentait littéralement comme une usine ou un garage. J,ai commencé aussi à avoir peur pour ma santé et mes chats. J’ai donc décidé d’investir dans le benchvent, qui semble le modèle le plus apprécier des modélistes, le Benchvent. Wow! Quelle différence avec le modèle « cheap » que j’avais! Le benchvent est ultra puissant. Acrylique, lacque, 2k, tout est aspiré immédiatement et rapidement, rien ne s,accumule dans la cabine et encore moins dans la pièce. On ne sent plus rien du tout après avoir terminé. De plus, le benchvent est très efficace pour la poussière et les particules ce qui fait n sorte qu’il y a beaucoup moins de risque de voir ceux-ci se coller sur le modèle quand on peinture.

Vraiment, c’est l’un de mes meilleurs investissements dans ce hobby et pour ma santé! Hautement recommandé!

I've worked with airbrushing for several years now and stepping into lacquers meant that the cheap route for ventilation wasn't going to cut it! I'd previously employed a generic spray booth, a cheap model from Amazon, and it was decent enough for my needs at the time, but I was frustrated in searching for a booth that was truly safe for flammable paints. Even the larger Paasche models of spray booths discourage enamel and lacquer use, so I eventually found out about the BenchVent models and Strike Force Hobbies.

Switching the BenchVent on for the first time immediately explained the difference in price between it and a cheaper model. The booth is easy to set up and operate, but I was surprised by the obvious power behind it. Whereas the tiny old model I was using left the smell of paint fumes even after hours of operation, the BenchVent quickly cleared my workshop of apparent fumes in minutes.

For such a powerful machine, it's also surprisingly small and ergonomic. The tall, narrow shape of the unit, the placement of the hose at the top rather than back, the modular hood, and large wide-open vent leave plenty of space on my table and makes for a convenient, unobtrusive working area. The system is sturdy and fairly light, but big enough to tackle larger projects easily.

Most important of all, the design of the vent guarantees safety when working with flammable paints, something I've yet to find other brands make a claim to. While some sellers brush off the risk of fire in traditional vent models, I didn't want an enjoyable hobby turning into a dangerous affair! Although I was hesitant to invest in this system, the peace of mind that my work environment is safe and clean is worth the price alone, even without all the aforementioned advantages.

Ultimately, I cannot recommend any other paint vent setup for hobbyists working with volatile paints. The BenchVent works better than any other system that I've encountered, and it's the only such system I've found that can truly allow for safe use of these products. The investment is worth it!

I should also point out the ease with which I was able to procure this elusive (for Canadians) product thanks to Strike Force Hobbies. Associate Rui was able to answer any questions that I had about the product and the international shipping process, informed me what to expect in terms of fees and times, and kept me updated regularly. They were kind enough to request an expedited product from the manufacturers without added cost (or even my having to ask!).

Canadians can often find international hobby purchases like this a long, costly, and uncertain process. SFH made it easy, transparent, and painless instead. I look forward to working with them again!

A little history on my military modelling. I have been building my models for approximately 30 years. My interest has been in 1/35 armour, 1/48 and 1/32 aircraft. Most of my time I would spray paint in the garage in the warmer weather, but this would always limit my time when I could and would be a hassle transporting my supplies from downstairs to outside. I started to investigate a better solution now that I have retired. I found some links on the Internet that took me to a company called Strike Force Hobbies. This had a video of a modeller using a BenchVent air extraction unit. More research on the product and videos showing how it worked convinced me this was a well-made product with a excellent warranty and was what I was looking for. I ordered the BV300S-D with extra filters. Rui the contact person at Strike Force Hobbies was excellent and extremely helpful. He helped me with the order, and the shipping of the product. Rui keep me posted at all times with numerous phone calls and emails of what was happening with the order and was even putting a rush on it to receive it before the holidays. The extractor unit works fantastic and lives up to the testimonials of the people who recommended it. It is very portable, built to last and was easy to pipe into venting. It removes all fumes and smell from my painting area and moves a great deal of air in doing so. I would highly recommend the Extraction unit and Strike Force Hobbies especially Rui for his great help and assistance in purchasing this product. Great to purchase from a distributor in Canada.

Recently, I purchased my official BenchVent Extractor/Spray Boot (manufactured in the United Kingdom) from Strike Force Hobbies, the official distributor for North America and Canada. Here is the back story behind my purchase. As a model builder, I build and paint 1:48, 1:32 aircraft kits and 1:35 armor, vehicle models, over the years and thousands of dollars later, none the previous spray booths (Paasche HSSB Hobby-Shop, Master Airbrush, AW portable, etc.) failed to accomplished the task of successfully extracting paint fumes from the workplace.

As a member of Flory Models forum, I’ve watched this UK professional modeler, Phil Flory on his show and he uses the BenchVent Extractor/Spray Booth. I reached out to Phil about how the BenchVent Extractor/Spray booth performed. He stated that he has owned one for ten years, added a second one and has experienced no issues with either extractor.

My internet research revealed that Strike Force Hobbies is the vendor for BenchVent extractor/spray booth here in the United States, I submitted my order on their website. To my surprise I received a follow-up email requesting I contact their office to verify the purchase of the BenchVent Extractor/Spray booth, their policy is to verify the purchase by speaking to the customer to reduce potentially fraudulent activity. Once the order was confirmed, your extractor/spray booth is custom build in the UK, it takes approximately four weeks. Throughout the process, Strike Force Hobbies customer service team provided me with updates on the status. I had the opportunity to work with Rui, it was a pleasant experience. As for my purchase, the BenchVent extractor/spray booth is an exceptional product and met all of my expectations. I would recommend it to serious model builders.

I wanted to follow up on the BenchVent BV300S-D I purchased from Strike Force Hobbies recently.

First, I appreciated all the answers Rui gave me to my questions on this product, and his continuous follow up with information regarding the shipping and delivery of the unit.

My first impression upon opening the box, was that unit was what I would call industrial grade quality, meaning it was well made and should last a long time. I purchased the BV300S-D since my plastic modeling choice of paint is primarily lacquer, so fume particle removal is paramount. I also wear a respirator to provide an additional level of protection. One of the products I use frequently is Mr. Primer Surfacer which has an extremely strong odor. My previous paint extractor was a unit with two fans and dual discharge vents. Depending on how long my spray sessions were, it wasn’t long before I had to stop painting to let the extractor catch up clearing the air. It became obvious very quickly that the single motor BV300S-D moved significantly more air than my two-fan unit did resulting in less overspray and a lot less fumes. An added benefit is that the BenchVent BV300S-D is the same height as my former extractor but is 1/3 less in width giving me more room on my work bench. I’m extremely happy with this product and would buy it again.

I purchased a RC tug boat from them, and when it arrived there were problems with one of the functions.

Rui automatically sent me a new one at no extra cost, or having to return the older one. Rui kept in complete contact with me every step of the way.

This is why I continue to buy from Strike Force Hobbies, even if items cost a little more. This is because I know I will be taken care of no matter what.

" First time dealing with Strike Force Hobbies I ordered a 1/35 scale Hobby Boss M1070 HET tractor/trailer kit. This was not in stock and had to be imported from the USA. Rui in customer service was up front and told me it would take up to two weeks and since it was such a large kit there would be a surcharge for freight to Alberta. Rui called to confirm the order and again told me about the importing time and the freight surcharge and gave me the chance to cancel the order.Strike Force Hobbies e-mailed every few days with a status report and the kit showed up on time at their warehouse. The kit arrived in perfect condition in Alberta with no damage thanks to their shipping department. At the same time I was looking for a load for the HET trailer I spotted the Dragon M1A1 AIM (3535) and the Dragon M1A2 SEP (3536) kits which are reportedly the best 1/35 Abrams models on the market. I searched on the internet for both of these kits and found out that they had been out of production. I mentioned this to Rui at Strike Force Hobbies and he told me he would also search for both kits and keep me posted. He suggested a Tamiya M1A2 but I decided to stay with the two Dragon kits. Wonder of wonders in a few days he e-mailed and said he had found both kits with decent delivery times and both kits are now on the way for the HET trailer load and an escort.I have nothing but good words for Strike Force Hobbies, for their customer followup phone call to confirm an order, their prompt shipping at decent prices, their e-mailing with order status, and their calling to confirm extra charges for oversize packages.Strike Force must have better resources than I when it comes to sourcing out of production kits as they found both of the Dragon Abrams kits and I had spent hours looking with no results.

Overall very satisfied with Strike Force Hobbies and will continue to use them for my modeling needs " .
