ACADEMY 1/32 SCALE USMC F/A-18A+ "VMFA-232 RED DEVILS" KIT

The Marine Corps F/A-18A+ strike fighter multi-mission aircraft was designed to replace the F-4 Phantom. The F/A-18A+ Hornet is missionized for traditional fighter, attack, and close air support roles through selection of external pods/equipment to accomplish specific mission objectives. Any aircraft can quickly be configured to perform either fighter or attack missions, or both, thus providing the Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) commander more flexibility in employing his tactical aircraft in a rapidly changing scenario. Marine F/A18s may be land-based from prepared airfields, or they can operate from expeditionary airfields (EAF). They may also be sea-based, operating from the decks of Navy aircraft carriers.

Academy's new giant 1/32 scale F/A-18A+ allows the modeler the opportunity to build the current USMC multi-mission aircraft. This kit is loaded with features such as finely engraved panel lines and intricate rivet details. High quality Cartograf Decals are included allowing you to build either the USMC or Canadian version of the F/A-18A+. Kit includes a highly-detailed cockpit and landing gear. There are four figures included with the kit. Two pilots and two ground crew member. Academy has included a complete set of underwing stores giving the builder many weapon options.
