Description:

The IRSB is a simple and sophisticated infrared train detection sensor.  The sensor can detect most rail cars reliably.  The IRSB is not affected by certain types of lighting, because of its sophisticated design.

The sensor is tiny, fitting N-scale rails.  The sensor body is one rigid unit, fitting within a single tie-crib.  A ribbon cable connects the sensor to the IR4 controller module.  Each sensor only requires one connection because it uses a ribbon cable connection.

If the sensor must be placed more than 12″ (30 cm) from the IR4 controller, then a ribbon cable extensions are possible.
